Dr. Rowland
Dr. Rowland, our founding team member, earned her degree from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been an integral part of our team for over 17 years and loves things all things related to dermatology.
In her spare time, she loves being involved in her children's activities, creating sets for a local theater program, camping with family, and “Kim-Mulkey” Style cheering on her daughters' basketball games.
Dr. Rowland's most outstanding attribute is her remarkable talent for assembling and leading a cohesive team of medical professionals and support personnel. This dedicated group consistently exceeds expectations in delivering gold-standard patient care while fostering a supportive and uplifting work environment.
Dr. Rankin
Dr. Rankin earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University's School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a dedicated member of the Blue Paw team since 2013. With a reputation for her strong work ethic and commitment to providing top-tier veterinary care. Dr. Rankin is known for her problem-solving skills, tackling cases with precision and calm. She is often the go-to clinician for her colleagues, staff, and clients alike.
Outside of work, Dr. Rankin is a proud mom of four and enjoys spending time on their family farm. They shares a love for agriculture and animal husbandry and is teaching the next generation about the importance of farming and the humane treatment of animals. Dr. Rankin’s combination of leadership skills, dedication, and compassionate approach to veterinary medicine makes her an invaluable member of our team
Dr. Berman
Dr. Berman earned her DVM from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine and has been with Blue Paw for 10 years. She is our resident "Feline Fanatic" and our go-to person for all things cat-related. Her expertise in handling challenging behavior and medical cases for both cats and dogs is unmatched.
In addition to her veterinary work, Dr. Berman is a dedicated mother to three boys and a pet parent to dogs and cats. She is committed to making the world a better place and actively raises awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. She also contributes to veterinary medicine through her blog and educational articles.
Dr. Berman leads by example, always showing kindness and offering a warm smile with words of encouragement to pet parents and team members alike.
Dr. Gale-Dyer
Dr. Gale-Dyer, a Michigan State University graduate with a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, has been an invaluable member of our team for more than 10 years. She serves as our go-to expert for complicated medical cases, particularly in ophthalmology.
Her dedication to improving pets' lives is matched only by her zest for life outside work, where she and her husband enjoy spending time at Red River Gorge or showcasing their skills as Irish step dancers. Dr. Gale-Dyer's infectious smile, uplifting songs, and ability to live life to the fullest never fail to boost team morale. Her compassion and empathy set a sterling example for all, making her an irreplaceable asset to our organization.
Dr. Coomber
Dr. Coomber is the most recent veterinarian to join the Blue Paw family. A graduate of Tuskegee University's College of Veterinary Medicine, her journey to veterinary medicine took an unconventional path. Dr. Coomber dedicated the first half of her career to helping in the legal field. She then, pivoted and decided to devote the second half of her professional life to caring for our four-legged companions. While her specific area of expertise is still emerging, Dr. Coomber's enthusiasm, empathy, and willingness to go above and beyond for her patients shine through in her work.
In her spare time, Dr. Coomber enjoys life living on a farm, tending to her pets and caring for horses. We are truly fortunate to have Dr. Coomber as part of our team, bringing her diverse experience and boundless compassion to Blue Paw.
Dr. Graham
Dr. Graham, a graduate of Clemson University's College of Veterinary Medicine, and has been a cherished member of our Saturday team for years now. Known for her spontaneous outbursts of song, she brings joy to the hearts of patients, pet parents, and our staff alike.
When not brightening our Saturdays with her voice and enthusiasm, Dr. Graham dedicates her time to the Woodstock Animal Foundation, where she has been transforming the lives of pets for over a decade. Her commitment to helping the pets of the Lexington area knows no bounds, and she approaches her work with unwavering dedication. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Graham as part of our team, enhancing our practice with her expertise and infectious enthusiasm.
